Breakfast was again a quiet affair in the front dining room then we wandered into town on the advice of our hostess to catch our bus to Magome from the bottom bus stop. Tsumago was just getting going for the day and we then got front seats in the bus which filled with tourists.
At Magome we took our time then headed up the hill on our walk, along with quite a few other tourists. It was a lovely clear day after the rain the previous day.
Over the pass, the walk descended into some forest which was nicer and we stopped for a snack, then came to the tea house where we stopped along with other Europeans. On to waterfalls which were busy and finally to our inn which is at the top of Tsumago.
After a rest we wandered down into town to catch the end of the day after the tourists had departed.
Dinner was a disappointment as we were in the main dining room with a lot of noisy people. One other couple was dressed in their yukatas.
